About Us SNWMS, Inc stands ready to serve the community of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It is our goal to provide at least one scholarship per year. Our fund raising efforts are derived by private donations and fund raising efforts. SNWMS, Inc. is directed by a 14-member Board who has accepted the responsibility to act as good stewards of the fund, operate within a balance budget, low operating cost, and maintain good fiscal policy. Each director shall hold office for a term of two years or a maximum of three terms. The idea of creating a scholarship was presented by Joanne Davis, a dear friend of the family, and was accepted with enthusiasm by the family during the most difficult time of their lives. It allowed them to concentrate on helping others rather than on their enormous grief. Our initiatives for Shawna Nicole Williams Memorial Inc. has been supported by our community through donor financial support and volunteerism. Our History
More than just a scholarship fund, SNWMS, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering teens and helping young adults reach their full potential by providing scholarship assistance, workshops in financial literacy, building self-esteem, and developing leadership skills.
Our Mission
The Shawna Nicole Williams Memorial Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who have made significant contributions to society and have demonstrated improvement in their academic and personal life by overcoming obstacles. Our Programs
We are dedicated to empowering teens and young adults to reach their full potential through scholarships, workshops in financial literacy, building self-esteem, and leadership development. Long-term relationships will be established through a mentoring program with professional volunteers.
We will hold a special fundraising event once a year. Our next event will be February 18, 2012.

Friends of Children for Higher Education
The purpose of the group is to encourage young people to shoot for the stars by making significant contributions to society, become their best self through college education, leadership development, financial literacy and explore entrepreneurial pursuits. Valentines Day "Star-Light - "Star - Bright" Scholarship Gala
Come and join us for a valentine celebration. It will be held in the Eclipse Room at Remington Park in Oklahoma City on February 18th 2012. 6:30 p.m. Cocktail reception and silent auction, 7:45 Dinner, 9:00 Dancing.
